January goals

A brand new page, a brand new year,  a brand new month to plan. Should I go crazy or should I play reasonable? So many tempting new opportunities but also so many oldies, started or not yet that I have pushed down the list of priorities. Let's try to achieve a good balance between newbies and oldies, between quilting and dressmaking.

Quilting:
1. Dear Jane - finish rows D and E
2. HST modern sampler quilt - make the last block and finish the top 
3. Vintage Kitchen - finish the blocks - this will be my One monthly goal

4. Farmer's Wife 1920 - make 4 blocks
5. Farmer's Wife 1930 - make 4 blocks
6. Horse quilt - finish piecing
7. Scientific Adventure Quilt
8. Storyteller quilt 
9. Purple and blue quilt

Dressmaking
1. Linden sweater in navy  
2. Knickers
3. Sirroco Jumpsuit, cut and ready to be sewn
4. Jeans for hubby
5. Comox trunks
6. PJ hubby
7. Lola sweater dress
8. Moneta dress
9. Fumeterre skirt
10. Jasika jacket

Accessories
1. Passport holder

Cross-stitch
1. Grimm's Tales stitch along

It is snowing...

Well not really where I am. It is pouring down with rain and it is very windy too. But it has been snowing in my sewing room! If you have arrived from the Holiday Lane Pillow  blog hop , welcome! Today is day my stop on the hop. I first saw Jill's design last year and saved it on my computer to make it one day! September in the Hexagon!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I thought it would be the perfect occasion to get the dist and cobwebs out (no it wasn't that bad really) and give it a new lease of life! It all started with a few scrap strips and ended with a few more strips! I ordered and received a scrap bag of Moda fabric a few years back and I received a pack of off-cuts of Migration by Holly Taylor.
