Snowflake again

We're so close to finishing now! Only 5 more blocks to have a quilt top. The assignement for last week was just 2 blocks, which I completed but didn't post until now! 

Block 16 

and block 17

While I was making those 2 blocks, I thought I might as well finish all the blocks since I was so close! So off I went and completed block 18

and block 19


I was nearly there with block 20 until I realised that I hadn't counted my squares accurately when I cut my fabric. I am missing 3 white squares but have some extra blue ones, ah well, I need to get back to my cutting mat... 


Hoping that this one will be finished soon so that I can assemble the top before the end of the month.

    Beautiful blocks like the ones you've made will give you a nice quilt. Good luck with the rest.

September in the Hexagon!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I thought it would be the perfect occasion to get the dist and cobwebs out (no it wasn't that bad really) and give it a new lease of life! It all started with a few scrap strips and ended with a few more strips! I ordered and received a scrap bag of Moda fabric a few years back and I received a pack of off-cuts of Migration by Holly Taylor. It is snowing...

Well not really where I am. It is pouring down with rain and it is very windy too. But it has been snowing in my sewing room! If you have arrived from the Holiday Lane Pillow  blog hop , welcome! Today is day my stop on the hop. I first saw Jill's design last year and saved it on my computer to make it one day!
