Teddy in the cabin

Teddy is now nice and comfy with two cosy cushions holding him up in Miss Strawberry Shortcake's room.

Yes I finished a UFO this month, yeah! That was on my own to-do list for August. Ah well, better late than never. I quilted my panel earlier this month. And this week, I finished off the cushion cover with a lovely teddy printed fabric from a few years ago by Makower.
The cushion insert I have is slightly too small but it is a nice cushion for Miss Strawberry Shortcake with lots of teddies to give her a hug from me.
This one makes me feel extra better: one more OPAM, one less UFO (started in September 2009)!

And I also finished off my Happy Cloud now. One more block for my Super Mario quilt.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
