Last block for October

October is already nearly over and it will be Christmas time before we know it. Scary thought! I guess I better get started on Miss Baby Advent Calendar, but for now, I am working on my bee block, to finish catching up and not get behind again! And last night I made this block for Bee White Black 
Suzy sent us some solid black and white + one colour asking us to make a strip or rectangle block. I had a vision in my head for a pink wave block which I thought would work quite well with a bargello type design so this is what I went for. I hope Suzy likes it!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
