Q3 FAL review

Autumn has arrived here and we are heading so quickly towards the end of the year. We have been very lucky to have such a very nice summer and to enjoy some lovely holidays. And of course, that meant that the long list is largely unfinished, surprised?!! Never mind, I needed to leave some for next quarter....

 Quilts:
1. Modern HST triangles (19 blocks are done), this one is hopefully also a serious contender for this quarter but I seem to have lost part of a block... - not so serious after all as no progress...
2. Project 48 quilt with a few Solstice challenge blocks (all blocks done, might need a few more???) -  no progress
3. Farmer's Wife (not half way yet....) - there is a new sew-along starting in August maybe, this is my chance! -  no progress
4. Farmer's Wife 1930 - only 24 blocks done - it would be nice to pick it up again -  no progress
5. Bubble blocks quilt - I now have a flimsy ready for the next step! so if the frame comes out this quarter I should be able to finish it. - this one came so close to a finish.... only the binding to hand sew now...
6. Scrappy trip - I only need red and green blocks now, maybe next quarter
7. Gipsy Wife (in progress), I would really like to pick this one again.... I haven't picked it up but I have unpicked....
9. Granny Squares quilt - 60 blocks from 5 years ago - no progress
10. Underground railway - most blocks available from years ago - no progress


Bags etc:
1. Power trip bag - not started - no progress
2. Passport cover (up, up and away) for me - no progress
3. Handbag for me - no progress
4. Toothbrush pouches x 2 - no progress
5. Teacher's pouch - completed
6. Teachers' purses x 2 - completed
7. Pencil case - finished
8. Colouring pencils roll - finished
9. Postcard of the world cross-stitch -  only 2 and a little more postcards to finish - on the last one now!

Dressmaking:

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
