A (re) finish

 This messenger bag has been in my UFO pile for 12 years... yes I know that's an awfully long time for a rather simple bag. I started it in 2010 and finished it in 2015 to gift it to my cousin. 

Apart that the zip was not detachable and therefore it just didn't work.... so I unpicked the zip and found a detachable one that I kept inside the bag ready to be attach. I then stored it away for later. 

Well later finally arrived last night... it really direct take long to sew the zip on and finally finish this bag that I started about 12 years ago. 

Not sure what I'll do with it but at least it is now usable or giftable....

My first finish for 2023, my first project ticked off my PhD list!

September in the Hexagon!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I thought it would be the perfect occasion to get the dist and cobwebs out (no it wasn't that bad really) and give it a new lease of life! It all started with a few scrap strips and ended with a few more strips! I ordered and received a scrap bag of Moda fabric a few years back and I received a pack of off-cuts of Migration by Holly Taylor. It is snowing...

Well not really where I am. It is pouring down with rain and it is very windy too. But it has been snowing in my sewing room! If you have arrived from the Holiday Lane Pillow  blog hop , welcome! Today is day my stop on the hop. I first saw Jill's design last year and saved it on my computer to make it one day!
