Friday Night Sew-In - last one this year


I have just signed off for the last Friday Night Sew-In of the year on Heidi's blog. It is organised for this coming Friday (9). Will you join?
I, for one, have lots of projects I'd like to finish off before the Big Day so hopefully the FNSI will help me to focus and concentrate on what I need to do...

    I keep thinking I should join in on a Friday Night Sew-in but then I have a sew-in nearly every night that I'm available except often on Fridays I don't because I sit on the couch with my husband instead LOL

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan. I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught.
